Licensed to practice law in 1995, Louis A. Gimbert has devoted his law practice to criminal defense and family law since that time. Louis is a Texas Aggie, Class of 1992, and graduated from law school at the University of Houston in 1995. He has been practicing law in the Brazos Valley since 1996. Louis' law practice has centered around trial work, with numerous jury trials in both felony and misdemeanor cases. He has also handled many appeals and other post-conviction matters, including death penalty cases. Louis has also handled hundreds of family law cases, using the trial skills honed over many years spent in the courtroom.

Louis has resided in College Station for 17 years with his wife, Michelle, and three children, Meagan, Louis, and James. In his spare time, Louis plays and coaches hockey, and scuba dives whenever he can make it to tropical climates. He enjoys going to Aggie sporting events. He is active in the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers' Association and the Brazos County Criminal Defense Association.
